Our CPer friend Paulo Baleeiro has just returned from a trip to N Brazil, where he found the extremely rare U.viscosa. He thinks you have also found this species, that it may be the 3rd picture on this link:

Do you have more pics of this plant? This could be the only know picture of U.viscosa (Paulo's pictures did not come out well, unfortunately). Do yo remember what the leaves looked like?

Can you tell me what have you done to keep your plants healthy in dry seasons? I have a lot of problems with my plants in dry seasons...usualy they stop their growth, like my nepenthes and another plants that need high umidity to grow well .
another problem is the heat but I can't change it...

Paulo contacted me this year, and he asked me about the different plants pictured on this "amethystina" page...he asked me very precise questions, now I understand why...

I have another picture of the plant, with a focus on the stem.
concerning the leaves, no idea, sorry : the plant was situated in an area covered with a layer of 30 to 50cm of water...

but as soon as the rainy season begins, I'll be there and look for it more closely.

I have a list of stations of carnivorous plants in french guyana (Hoff & Cremers 2006 - herbarium cayenne) : U.viscosa is located in 2 locations, but I found my plant at a 3rd one...

Yes, the 3rd picture is possibly U.viscosa. This species is widespread in northern S.America, but undercollected. I doubt it's very rare. Anyway, please post the other picture and good luck fiding more!

Vitordv : my plants are watered all year round...I'm lucky enough to have a garden, with trees. they provide schade to my plants, and an automated watering system mist them 4 times per day....I also have 750L of rain water stored in barrels....heat is a big problem, at the moment we have 33°C day temperature...but dont worry : nepenthes slow down their groth during the hot season, this is "normal" ; mine grow best during the rainy season.
