This information seems absur, but is more easy find european CPers with this species.

I'm looking for D. chrysolepis too. I received some plants in the past but they had not survived to the sending :( .

Regards.

Carlos.

That´s it Jeff.

Many brazilian species can easily be found in cultivation outside Brazil, but extremely rare (outside field) here.

This species is one oh those (together with Heliamphora).

There are plenty of brazilian paradoxes... Unfortunately, most of them are bad things.

Hello!

This is only a paradox because for so many years we had almost nobody cultivating CPs in Brazil. Only recently have we got a larger group of hobbyists. In the early 90's I distributed all over the world (including Brazil) seed of numerous Brazilian CPs which I was studying in the wild. I guess the Europeans were most interested in them and kept them alive, that's all.

It's sad to remember that when I left Brazil for 3 years between 1996-1998, I had a greenhouse full of CPs -- many of which native species -- and there was really nobody to give them to, nobody wanted them!! And there were some really rare & beautiful plants in there, including Drosera (natives, tuberous, pygmies, S.African, petiolaris, etc.), Genlisea, Utrics, Pings, Sarracenia, Neps, Heliamphora, Darlingtonia, Cephalotus, Byblis, Ibicella,

Best wishes, Fernando Rivadavia
