Pessoal eu queria saber se a minha sarra Leucophila ta em dormencia ou não, como saber? eu achei que ela ta meio feinha, mudei substrato tudo fazem 2 dias....queria saber se ela ta assim por causa da época do ano ou se foi mal cuidado do cara que germinou ela...alguem tem idéia?

Isso é uma Tillandsia usneoides, a popular 'barba de velho', uma bromélia e não um musgo.
Para estar em dormência a temperatura deve estar baixa, cerca de 12 graus de média, algumas
plantas produzem filodias (folhas sem armadilhas), outras simplesmente não lançam folhas.

if you changed the substrate 2 days ago, it would have been impossible for the plant to produce so much leaves within only 2 days ; this mean, the "problem" was there before you changed the substrate?
am I right ?

sarracenia leucophylla produce leaves 2 times in the year : at the beginning of the growth season, and a few weeks before the end of the growing season.
leaves of the late season are often more red, more darker, and there are less leaves than at the beginning of the growth season.

what to do when a sarracenia is going dormant ?
1) put away the water cup under the pot, stop watering, maintain the soil slightly moisted (it can also dry out, it's not a problem if the drought do not exceed 7 to 10 days)
2) store the plant in a place where it receives light, at a temperature around 10/15°C during a minimum of 2 months
3) take care about moltening of the plant : no shade, no water in excess !
4) when the temperatures become higher, put the plant at it's "normal" place and beging watering again (but only AFTER you have seen the first ofshoots of the plant)

if you use this "programm", your plants will enjoy yourself many many years

it's rather easy to maintain sarracenia even if your climate is "warm" (or warmer) than the one from the original biotope of the plants.
I have mine growing since 3 years now (I localised near the aequator) and they are still alive...

good grow, and dont hesitate to ask questions.
