manders escreveu: We have been keeping Parrot and Zebra finches with some nepenthes for several months. Just recently the Parrot finches have taken to patrolling certain of the Nepenthes in early morning. Were pretty sure what they are doing is licking up the Nectar form the nectar glands on the stems and leaves. They seem to have learned to do this, as its only recent behavior. The zebra finches have never done this. The natural distribution of Parrot finches overlaps with Nepenthes Viellardii so just maybe this is something they do in they wild also. Anyway tried to get a few photos but these guys are really active and fast...
